* A huge thank you to our room mom, Alex Strachan, for the fun Halloween treasure box items.  The kiddos love them!

* Another huge thank you to Mrs. Webster for making our adorable "Fred" box top monster. Please bring in those box top labels.

* Unfortunately our vision and hearing screening had to be rescheduled. We are scheduled for this Thursday.

What Are We Learning This Week?

Math: Topic 3.7 ~ 3.9: Adding using strategies, solving 1-2 step problems, using appropriate tools, chapter review & unit assessment.

Science: Habitats: How do plants, animals, and people live in their habitat? Completing forest habitat assignment.

Leadership: ROAR song & prepping for our assembly.

Reading:  Alexander, Who Use to Be Rich Last Sunday & A Chair for My Mother.

Language: Story structure, character, message & illustrations.

Writing: Write a new idea for characters in a story, write a new ending, write a dialogue between two characters, strengthen dialogue and create a character web.

Conventions: Simple sentences: subject/predicate, adjectives and adverbs in simple sentences. 

Phonics Skill: Digraphs ar, or, ore, oar.

Homework~

1.) Read 20 minutes daily & fill out reading log (due Friday)

2.) Math sheet (due to end of unit testing and Spanish class we have homework just Monday & Tuesday) 

3.) Would You Rather Writing Journal (4 steps due Friday)

4.) Study October poem (will recite on 10/28)
