What We Are Learning This Week:

Theme: Owls

Letter: Kk

Sight Word:  this

Math:  Continue patterning (specifically AB & AABB patterns), sorting, classifying, & number writing 

Reading:  Locating and framing sight words, getting our mouths ready for the first sound in words & recognizing rhyming words. Discussing characters & setting.

Writing:  Using sight words that we know to create a complete sentence. Spacing between words, return sweep, period at the end of the sentence & use of an uppercase letter at the beginning of the sentence.

Leadership: Gratefulness.  Our leadership trait for November & December will be gratefulness.  We will discuss that gratefulness is a feeling of thankful appreciation for favors/benefits received.

Homework Folders~ Please remember  to bring folders to school daily & to clean them out weekly.  New folders will be provided 2nd trimester (2nd week of November).

Nov. 7 ~ End of trimester 1 & Mother-Son Bowling Night 5-8:00

Nov. 10~ Patriots Day (kiddos wear red, white & blue)
Nov. 10- 21 ~ Parent/Teacher Conferences 

Nov. 11 ~ No school :)

Nov. 21 ~ Thanksgiving Feast (more info to come)

Nov. 24-28~ Thanksgiving Break!

Parent/Teacher Conferences~ A sign up sheet is posted on our classroom door.  Please drop by and fill out a time slot that works best for you.  If you are unable to drop by please email me at dpayne@inlandleaders.com & we can figure out a time. Conferences are about 15-20 minutes in length. The time slots are 7:30, 12:00, 12:30 & 1:00. At the conference I will go over expectations, progress, behavior & any questions or concerns you may have. Reminders will be passed out at a later date.
